The Role: 

Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager and Graphic Design Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will support the marketing efforts of the NYC office. We are looking for a team player who can also work independently in a deadline-driven environment. Candidates must be curious, organized, and able to communicate clearly with colleagues and potential clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general support for the marketing and business development efforts in the office
  • Evaluate and prepare responses to RFPs and RFQs, often on tight deadlines
  • Liaise with clients and technical staff to coordinate proposals
  • Document and track project opportunities (using Cosential CRM)
  • Update and maintain firm and project information to create marketing materials such as resumes and project sheets
  • Maintain the department deadline calendar

Requirements and Skills:          

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a professional environment (architecture or engineering preferred)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (mainly InDesign and Acrobat)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Familiarity with CRM software/tools a plus

About the position:
This is a full-time position in a structural engineering firm that directly supports the architectural community. The position is based in Washington, DC, but will require collaboration between our offices in New York and Boston. Our sunlight-filled office is located on the canal in Georgetown. You will work with smart, social, and creative engineers and with a bright and energetic marketing team located across three offices. When you come to work, you will
. coordinate the marketing and business development activities of the Washington, DC office
. support business development efforts of senior technical staff
. manage the entire RFP/RFQ process for the Washington, DC, office (and, when required, participate in production)
. collaborate with graphic designer on special projects and social media campaigns
. assist in the development and implementation of annual firmwide strategic marketing plan, including establishing and
maintaining department budget
. use new marketing database and CRM system
. develop a system to track industry events
. identify opportunities for staff to write for publication and to present at
conferences and events
. support Principals and Associates for speaking engagements, industry events, presentations
. update existing and prepare new written marketing materials, including project descriptions, lists, resumes, data
sheets, etc

Minimum requirements to work with us:
. 3-5 years of experience, preferably in an architecture firm
. Bachelor’s degree
. Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud with proficiency in InDesign
. CRM experience (Cosential experience a plus)
. High competency in Microsoft Office
