Hodson Hall, a 44,200 square foot 3-story building constructed with a brick and block exterior and a composite steel and concrete floor system, is a new classroom building for the Johns Hopkins University. The $15 million facility houses various educational spaces (offices, lecture halls, and meeting rooms), all replete with high-tech amenities and an underground level which includes a large 500-seat auditorium. The stacking of assembly spaces required a system of structural transfers that were carefully coordinated with mechanical systems.
