This cross-disciplinary academic building will be the campus hub for design-based learning, featuring design studios, collaboration spaces, and fabrication facilities.

The new building will feature open, flexible spaces, and a large central atrium that allows natural light and user circulation to reach the lower level. Structurally speaking, the building’s two sides will be almost entirely separated by the atrium.

Exposed structural steel framing and a moment frame lateral system will contribute to the open layout. Twin 30 foot cantilevered steel canopies will highlight the main entrances.
