Silman was awarded multiple 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.

Work included the development of a 10-year capital master plan for the facility, peer review of a major renovation to the Opera House, and review of several existing conditions within the building of structural elements are not protected by fireproofing as part of the Kennedy Center Phase I Life Safety Improvement Project. Silman is currently performing a third-party review of a report on concrete repairs for garage slabs. Under separate contract, Silman also performing structural design services for the renovation of the Kennedy Center Theatre Lab and Russian Lounge. The projects require design efforts to renovate the space within budget and resolve specific challenges and problems.

Silman is currently providing structural design services for the south pavilion expansion at the Kennedy Center.
