The BIG Maze was a pre-exhibition installation at the National Building Museum, open from July 4 to September 1, 2014. The large-scale maze was featured in the Great Hall and soared 18′ high and measured 61′ square, with a birch plywood labyrinth for visitors to weave through and explore. On the inside, the walls slowly descended toward the center which concluded with a grade reveal—a 360° understanding of where the maze began, how the visitor arrived at the center, to finding the exit.
