Chris Ruiz

Chris Ruiz joined Silman in 2010 and was promoted to Principal in 2023. He has over 15 years of experience in the industry covering a wide range of project types that include educational, residential, commercial, and mixed-use buildings. He has experience with a variety of building materials including reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, steel, wood, and masonry. A few projects Chris has recently managed include the Heights Building for Arlington Public Schools in Arlington, VA; the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA; the Institute for Contemporary Art at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA; and the 9/11 Memorial of Maryland in Baltimore, MD.

Chris has worked on both new construction and renovation projects, coordinating the scope and schedule with agencies, architects, and other engineers. He also provides oversight in the form of quality assurance and quality control to maintain communication and consistency for each project from start to finish.
