This pre-exhibition installation at the National Building Museum was open during the summer of 2014. Located in the building’s Great Hall, the large-scale birch plywood labyrinth measured 61 feet wide by 61 feet long. Standing 18 feet tall at the perimeter, the maze’s walls gradually sloped down as visitors made their way through the interior towards the center, concluding with a grade-level reveal: a 360-degree understanding of the maze’s entry, circulation path, and exit.
