This new seven-story building is one of the city’s first affordable housing developments specifically intended to foster a community of LGBT seniors. Designed to help its residents age in place, the building features a combination of 55 studios and 28 one-bedroom apartments.
Additional spaces include lounges on each level overlooking Crotona Park, a ground-level community center, and a landscaped roof terrace. With sustainable features such as rooftop solar panels, the block and plank structure has a LEED Platinum certification goal and follows Enterprise Green Communities criteria.
