The house’s concrete plinth, along with its distinctive sloping concrete columns, is deliberately exposed.
The U-shaped private summer residence is located on one of the highest elevations in town. The house’s main level takes advantage of the views with several terraces and balconies, while the cellar level contains the garage, storage space, and utilities. The house is supported by a floating cast-in-place concrete plinth.
The site also features a new exterior bridge on the northeast side of the residence. Structurally independent from the main house, the bridge has a central steel spine, two exposed concrete columns along its length, and one buried concrete abutment at the bridge end away from the house.
