This renovation and addition project was completed in two phases with operations maintained through construction. The original 1978 three-story building, the college’s first academic building, joins the Academic Quad to the north for the consolidation of STEM facilities. This project was part of a campus master plan.

The first phase of the project consolidated Student Services in the existing north half of the existing building while adding new space for laboratories, offices, and support spaces for the Physical Science, Engineering, and Landscape Technologies (PSEL) departments. The second phase renovated portions of the existing building to accommodate Mathematics department classrooms, offices, and support spaces. Prominent space was provided for a tutoring center that is central to the building’s concept of multidisciplinary interaction.

Structural scope included the addition of vertical circulation paths that connect the interior with the existing first floor main entrance and the addition of a new third floor over an existing laboratory space.
